Control and Instrumentation Technician

A fantastic opportunity has arisen at our Runcorn Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) for a Control and Instrumentation Technician to join our team, working 42.5 hours a week.

The Role:

The Control and Instrumentation Technician is responsible for the repair and maintenance of all the control & instrumentation equipment at the Runcorn ERF Plant, providing support to other disciplines as necessary using experience and skills.

The C&I Technician will assist in the coordination of contractors as required, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.

You will carry out fault diagnosis and rectify as required.

You'll also be responsible for the management of calibration records and implementation of instrument calibrations.

Additionally, you will work as part of a team striving for continual improvement in minimising environmental health and safety risks at the ERF plant.

The Ideal Control and Instrumentation Technician:

* Experience in control engineering of process industry or power plants

* Experience in the C&I engineering of process industry or power plants

* Experience working with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems

* DCS/SCADA experience

* Possess appropriate technical qualifications; City & Guilds/NVQ (or equivalent)

* Ability to communicate clearly and concisely at all levels, both verbally and written

* Understanding of environmental, health and safety issues and their impacts

* Ability to work without supervision

* Able to think logically and solve problems effectively and efficiently
