Client: I am working closely with a Global leading Electronics manufacturer who supply into the Defence, Aviation and Aerospace market.

Position: The Project Planners will be based in Basildon.

The role will involve providing support to senior members within the project planning team alongside managing your own project plans.

This role is suitable for an entry level project planner who is looking to develop their skill and knowledge and progress into a more senior role within a great company.

Key Responsibilities of Project Planner:

+ Maintain the accuracy of project plans, ensuring they reflect the project objectives, are updated in a timely manner and are communicated to all IPT members.

+ Ensure plans are integrated into overall project requirement, with dependencies to other functions identified through scenario planning.

+ Work for and as part of the IPT to interrogate and identify cost and schedule variance.

+ Prepare and analyse data (earned value, critical path) required to influence programme decision making.

+ Contribute to the preparation, management and review of bids, and communicate to the relevant internal stakeholders in order to support the defined requirements.

Experience of the Project Planner:

+ Proficient in use of SAP Tool.

Training in the use of planning and project management aspects will be provided

+ Understanding of the principles and practice of Life Cycle Management (Product, Business Winning and Project Lifecycles)

+ Good team working skills including coordinating other planners to balance workload, support in appropriate plan definition and with planning technical issues.
