The Role

The primary roles and responsibilities are to perform all aspects and types of rewinds on Stators/Rotors & Motors, perform electrical troubleshooting and testing, gather and interpret winding technical data.

In addition, you are expected to operate as part of a team and be able to transfer/receive technical knowledge and expertise from fellow workers.



Key Roles & Responsibilities to be carried out:

Accurate recording of time on job using the Electro-Mechanical Information System

Complete work to the agreed Estimated Timings (where timings cannot be achieved recording and communicating issues to the Workshop Manager or his Deputy)

Be able to interpret winding technical data sheets

Collect (reverse engineer) technical winding data from wound components

Preparation of slot liners, phase papers etc.

Wind Coils

Hand Insert Coils & Connecting

Electrical Static Checks using Electrical Test Equipment

Accurate recording and reporting of parts and consumables used on jobs.

Effective Communication and Recording of Issues and/or Delays

Inspect equipment and parts for damage, diagnose possible reason(s) for failure

General Husbandry of Workshop

Basic Skills & Attributes required:

Carry out Day to Day Workshop Operations to given priorities and effectively communicating issues.

Keeping the Workshop Manager fully informed on matters effecting work progress.



Ensuring the Quality of Workmanship and product leaving meets the highest standard.



Compliance to Policies and Procedures

Comply with regulatory, statutory (legal) requirements in all aspects of their work.



Report Accidents/Incidents in the Work-Place to their Line Manager/Supervisor

Maintain a high standard of husbandry keeping the working area clean and tidy

Able to use precision measuring equipment

Able to use Hand/Power Tools & Precision Measuring Equipment

Basic maintenance of machinery, tooling and equipment
