Chef De Partie in Westmeath

Our client, a 5-star Castle Resort in the West of Ireland, is seeking a Chef de Partie to join their Kitchen Brigade.

Job Title: Chef de Partie
Responsible to: Sous Chef/Head Chef

Overall job purpose:
To prepare, cook and present for service as required, foodstuffs and sauces to the standards of the establishment.

Main Duties:


*To prepare various dishes and foodstuffs as required for service in banqueting areas or other food outlets.


*To assist in other kitchen departments as to when required.


*To operate in a safe and responsible manner with recognised techniques.


*To ensure a high standard of personal hygiene.


*To operate machines and cooking equipment in a reasonable manner.


*To train any staff in the department where applicable and as required.


*To be prepared to undergo any training deemed necessary by the hotel, which will help in the advancement of knowledge and methods.


*To understand the provisions and maintenance of the kitchen services.


*To ensure full knowledge of cook-chill guidelines.


*To ensure a high standard of service.


*To ensure all plated meals get attention to detail.


*To ensure the rotation of stock is maintained.


*To observe all Health and Safety regulations as applicable to employees: Health and Safety at work Acts, HACCAP.
