Theatre Coordinator - CNM 2

Lucas Love Healthcare are recruiting a Theatre Coordinator - CNM 2 for our esteemed client, a South Dublin Private Hospital.

The CNM 2 will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in peri-operative environment.

The role involves managing of human resources, clinical practice, financial evaluation and management of staffing.


Minimum qualifications:



  • Minimum 5 years' acute work experience.

    Evidence of progressive management experience is a plus.

  • Must be registered with NMBI in Ireland.

  • Post graduate qualification in peri-operative nursing.

  • Must be fluent and grammatically correct in English.

  • Must demonstrate qualities of leadership, teaching, critical-thinking and problem solving.


Responsibilities:



  • Will be leading a team of staff in the peri-operative division and help actualize the goals of the department.

  • Should focus on ongoing evaluation of patient care processes and suggest improvements.

  • Participates in recruitment of staff and monitors performance and promote fair labour practices.

  • Collaborates with different teams and participates in continuous quality improvement and risk management programs.

  • Monitors staffing pattern to improve productivity and monitors fiscal budget to control operational and capital expenditure.

  • Identifies appropriate communication channel to ensure smooth working relations between different members of the team within operating rooms.

  • Participates in policy development and implementation and enforce regulatory mandate and compliance.

  • Handling and disposing of infectious waste appropriately.

    Practice hand hygiene and adhere to AORN and EU standards for peri-operative units.

  • Responsibilities may evolve as per the needs of the job.

  • Be able to attend meetings, respond to emails and other postings.

  • Demonstrate leadership at all times.
