I am keen to speak with Production Planners who have experience of working within a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment.

Due to our client's current level of business and their continuous expansion plans they are looking to recruit for an experienced Production Planner to join their expanding planning team.

This Production Planner position can offer you the opportunity to join a business within the manufacturing industry that provides structured training, development and progression opportunities.

The starting salary for this position is in the region of £30,000 per annum, plus benefits including, 5% annual bonus, contributory pension scheme, healthcare and 25 days plus stats holiday entitlement.

Responsibilities & Duties required from the Production Planner:

  • You will have a continuous improvement mindset identifying and adapting processes to help the plan run smoothly

  • Engaging with the customer facing team to gather product specific information and ensuring its accuracy and completeness

  • Create production plans whilst liaising with the customer at all times

  • Work with various other internal departments including production, purchasing, design and engineering to ensure the information and materials are correct for the plan

  • As the Production Planner you will be required to use MRP systems to generate orders, identifying and correcting any deviation from the plan so that the company can produce their products On Time and to Specification

Requirements to be successful as the Production Planner;

  • Working knowledge of MRP Systems

  • Experience of working in an environment with complex multilevel BOMs with material replenishment quantities that do not match the BOM

  • Expediting and scheduling experience

  • Previous experience of working as either a Production Planner/Scheduler

  • Experience of Continuous improvement processes

  • Competent with Microsoft office packages i.e.
