Sample Management and Logistics Scientist

Employee Responsibilities:

  • Completes quality inspections on incoming materials, to include but not limited to API's, Excipients, Raw Materials, Controlled Drugs, and Flammable/Hazardous materials

  • Completes sampling and subdivision of materials for Clinical Trial production requirements that includes hazardous/flammable materials.

  • Completes picking and preparation of materials for delivery or shipment to internal or external manufacturing facilities.

  • Loads and unloads trucks as needed and transfers materials using powered industrial vehicles (fork lift, power jacks, etc.).

  • Performs electronic and physical inventory transactions for materials in computerized inventory systems

  • Labels incoming materials and completes documentation as required

  • Works in compliance with Quality, cGMP, SOPs and EHS procedures/guidelines

  • Work with Quality Assurance, GMP Analytics and Partner lines on material specific questions/information

  • Manual handling up to ~50lbs will be required.

  • Contribute, based upon experience in role, to SOP updates as needed

  • General warehouse management, cycle counts and assistance in the management of retention samples

  • Oversight of additional location warehouse

    • Good Housekeeping

    • Audit ready

    • Coordinate destruction of expired/unwanted materials

  • Transport of Materials to support additional warehouse locations

    • Receive materials

    • Labeling of materials

  • Express Issues of materials for use

  • Receipt of Drug Product

  • Coordinate transfer of Drug Product to Core Vendors as required

The Ideal Candidate would possess:

  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills

  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude

  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, or equivalent

  • Must hold a valid driver's license

  • Must be able to wear appropriate PPE (i.e.

    daily uniform, safety glasses, respirators and full protective suits) when necessary

  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed.
