Crystallization Material Scientist

Employee Responsibilities:

  • Conduct solid-state characterization experiments to characterize the products from experiments

  • Conduct lab scale wet chemistry experiments (crystallization, salt synthesis, polymorph screening)

  • Solid state characterization techniques including (polarized light microscopy, powder X-ray diffraction, thermal analysis, dynamic vapor sorption, etc.)

  • Basic solution NMR interpretation

  • Independent and team-based work approach

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Good written communications, including use of electronic laboratory notebooks

The Ideal Candidate would possess:

  • Wet chemistry background

  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills

  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivated, adaptability, and a positive attitude

  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree chemistry, especially organic chemistry, or other science related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience

  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed.
