Registered Manager - Children's Home

We are working with a Local Authority who is looking for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a settled team of 4 senior staff and 18 residential staff.

This home supports up to 7 children and young people with disabilities and challenging behaviours.


We seek someone with knowledge of the standards and Registered Manager role, a person to oversee the day to day running of the service and be responsible for ensuring the service meets relevant regulations and standards.

You will work closely with families, and professionals to ensure children and young people get the quality, individualised care and support they need.


As the Registered Manager you will:



  • To be an Ofsted Registered Manager delivering services which are fully compliant with legislative and regulatory requirements particularly The Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards 2015 and amendment 2018, and as per the home's Statement of Purpose.


  • Coach and develop the team to maximise their performance and potential and work effectively together to deliver the best outcomes

  • Enable the young people to fulfil their potential through structured education, care and wellbeing interventions that are relevant to their needs

  • Manage placement plans building relationships and gaining best outcome agreements with local authorities

  • Manage the home in line with the allocated budget

  • Oversee all referrals and assessments within the home

Requirements of the Registered Manager:



  • Strong experience working as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a similar setting

  • Diploma Level 5 Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care or willing to work towards

  • Effectively lead a team of staff to enable the highest quality of care

  • Strong staff supervision, managerial and communicational skills

  • Excellent Ofsted knowledge
