Senior Support Worker - Stoke on Trent

A Senior Support Worker position is available working with children and young people with emotional behaviour disorders in a children's residential home.

As the Senior Support Worker, you're required to have strong leadership skills, experience and NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce (or equivalent)

Requirements of the Senior Support Worker:

  • Must have experience working in a children's residential home (EBD)

  • Experience working at Senior Support Worker level

  • NVQ Level Diploma in Residential Childcare or Children and young people's workforce

  • Clean Driving license

  • Excellent standard of written English for report writing

  • Be fully committed to work weekends, long days, sleep-in duties and early shifts

Responsibilities of the Senior Support Worker include:

  • Present yourself as an appropriate role model for the young children and staff members

  • Shift lead and delegate to the Residential Support Workers

  • Offer support and development for other members of staff and the young people

  • Work under the company guidelines and Ofsted regulations

  • Report and manage challenging situations and accidents appropriately

  • Provide an outstanding quality of care

Position: Full time

Salary £25,500
