Finance Manager


Finance Manager - Chiswick - £45,000 to £55,000 dependant on experience
My client, a successful Housing Assocaition, are currenlty seeking a Qualified Chartered Accountant to join their firm.

As the Finance Manager you will be responsbile for the organisation's day to day financial health, identifying financial risk and producing financial reports to assist the senior executives in making sound business decisions for the firm.


With a small but dedicated and fun team, this role will give you the chance to make your own mark on the organisation, grow and devlop the Finance deaprtment whilst progressing your career within the Real Easte industry.


Key responsibilities include:



  • Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports

  • Present reports to board members, stakeholders and executives

  • Prepare monthly projected cash flows for the current financial year

  • Prepare any returns to HMRC, Local Authorities and Regulator as necessary

  • Bookkeeping for the company, including preparing sales invoices, reviewing supplier invoices and payments, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations

  • Preparation, review and finalisation of monthly/quarterly management accounts for all entities

  • VAT returns

  • Payroll prepertaion

  • Preparation, review and finalisation of audited financial statements under IFRS / UK GAAP as well as unaudited financial statements including creating reconciliations and schedules for the auditors

  • Preparation, review and finalisation of income tax/corporate tax on an annual basis

  • Managing the statutory compliance at Companies House

  • Monitoring the debt covenants where applicable

  • Review and streamlining of internal processes, whilst contributing new ideas

  • Reconciling year end account with auditors

  • Develop and manage your team within the Finance Department


Skills and experience required:



  • Qualified Accountant with excellent analytical, problem solving and technical accounting skills

  • Real Estate experience is essential, ideally gained within a housing association

  • Ability to communicate effectively with various teams; external consultants, tax advisors and solicitors

  • Able to prioritise your workload in line with important deadlines

  • Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail

  • Comfortable working in a small team environment



Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 Dependant on Experience
