Head Night Concierge (Hotel)

Are you an experienced Head Night Concierge looking for your next career challenge? A great opportunity has arisen for a Head of Night Concierge at this well-known London hotel.

Duties and Responsibilities:

, Provide and maintain high quality standards of guest care & service by Night Porter team
, Ensure all guests are welcomed to the hotels in a hospitable, friendly and professional manner
, Oversee and direct all hotel operations during the night shift to ensure guest satisfaction and safety
, Inform Night Porter team of nightly activities, group and VIP arrivals as well as special requests and repeat guests
, Ensure Night Porter team undertake check-in procedures for all guests and address any special requests accordingly
, Oversee provision of housekeeping items such as mini-beds, cots, towels, shampoo, blankets, towels, and bedding to guest rooms when Housekeeper is off duty
, Ensure Night Porter team attend to guests needs and requests in a timely and professional manner, pro-actively providing guests with information, advice and support as and when required
, Lead on the decision-making process on guest relocation for nights when overcapacity, execute accordingly and ensure a smooth relocation process
, Liaise with all other departments throughout the hotels, undertaking reporting as required and ensuring information pertinent to other departments is forwarded in a timely manner
, Ensure that public areas are kept clean and tidy utilising housekeeping services when necessary and appropriate
, Ensure Night Porter teams keep yards and forecourts clear of traffic obstructions.


, Liaise with and provide support to other Heads of Night Porters and their teams to coordinate and cover Night Porter & Concierge services in all hotels (including Morton Hotel when required to do so by Morton Hotel Management)

Leadership & Management
, Lead and manage activities of Night Porter team within the hotels to ensure departmental adherence to professional standards of excellence and Company policies and procedures.


, Provide on-the-job coaching, mentoring and training to the Night Porters department where needed.


, Lead and manage the Night Porter team in the hotels in relation to all people and performance activities, e.g.

rota management, payroll, holiday approval, sickness absence, recruitment & selection, training & development, performance management (formal & informal), conflict resolution etc.

(including use of Company databases and systems)
, Ensure Night Porter team complies with Company policies and procedures at all times, taking immediate action when issues or situations arise to the contrary

Required Experience:

, In depth knowledge of Security, Fire, Health and Safety Procedures
, Proven experience of using Opera computer system in a hotel / hospitality environment
, Proven experience of successfully leading and managing a high performing team
, Proven experience of Portering / Concierge duties
, Proven experience in operating in a senior leadership or management position
, Cash Handling and Management
, Customer Service
, Reception duties

The Package:
