Project Support Officer 5133773

Our client is looking for a Project support officer to join their team in the Cheshire area for a 4 month contract initially.

The role will require you to provide professional technical advice and support so as to implement and promote efficient, effective and timely management, maintenance and improvement of the Council's property assets.


Supervise and monitor building and improvement works on site to ensure that the appropriate action is taken by e.g.

client departments, external consultants and contractors to enable projects to be completed to agreed time, cost and quality standards.

Organise, plan and implement an on-going programme of costed condition assessments of all building elements to inform the development of the Council's Asset Management Plans and the formulation of future planned maintenance programmes.

Ensure that all projects are planned, designed and managed in accordance with all relevant Statutory and Regulatory Instruments and that they meet the specific requirements set out in the original client brief.

Organise, plan and carry out a formal programme of regular liaison meetings with senior managers, head teachers, school governors and other premises managers to agree with them building related priorities and co-ordinate capital and revenue maintenance programmes.

Analyse and prioritise data collected through condition assessments to feed the preparation of the Council's annual landlord maintenance programme and prepare outline scheme briefs based on the information to inform others responsible for subsequent implementation.

Prepare, specify and commission special programmes of ongoing periodic maintenance (e.g.

re-decoration) to ensure that buildings, plant and equipment are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements and/or recognised best practice.
