Lab Manager, QC Analytical Services


LABORATORY MANAGER, QC ANALYTICAL - WILTSHIRE - c£35,000




A leading bio-pharmaceutical organisation are currently recruiting for a Laboratory Manager, QC Analytical to join their facility based in Wiltshire on a permanent basis.




Reporting to the QC Analytical Manager, the core function of the role will be to lead and manage a specialist GMP analytical chemistry/biochemistry laboratory.

The role will involve operating the QC Analytical Services Laboratory in compliance with safety policies and cGMP.

In addition the successful candidate will be responsible for staff recruitment, appraisals, planning of staff work schedules, resource management and costing work programmes.

You will utilise technical skills to validate specialised chemical and biochemical tests, train staff within the department in laboratory techniques and play a lead role with both internal and external customers.



To be considered for the role candidates will need to be Degree educated in Chemistry, Biochemistry or a related discipline and have extensive experience of working to GMP or similar quality standards.

Extensive practical knowledge of a broad range of analytical / biochemical techniques and significant management experience is essential.

A professional membership of a relevant society e.g.

Royal Society of Chemistry or success in efficient and effective project and programme management is highly desirable.



The role is based in the Wiltshire area and is commutable from Salisbury, Andover, Bath, Swindon, Winchester and the surrounding areas.
