Our client is a young and dynamic educational and tutoring business; their focus is premium-quality academic tuition services for students applying to competitive UK universities.

2019 was the best in their 6-year history and in 2020 with a number of new investments they are planning to grow by more than 100%.

As part of their strategy to help more students more often, they now need some first-class individuals to help them grow.

You will be the heart of the business – covering everything from tutor management to product development to financial analysis (and everything in between).  It is expected that this role will develop into a Head of Operations position over the first 24 months and appropriate training and development will be provided throughout that time to enable you to reach this. 

No day is the same in this varied role and it’s an exciting and demanding environment to be in- perfect if you like to rise to a challenge! 

What you’ll be doing:

As their Operations Hero, you will take command of customer satisfaction and programme delivery.

You can expect to: 

  • Management of internal Company systems, including the management of internal intranet, execution of company protocols (for example, recruitment, inductions)
  • Maintenance of internal Company software(s) and ensuring that the most-suited and most cost-effective software is being used for each system
  • Researching, and reporting on methods to improve operational efficiency 
  • Overall responsibility of tutor recruitment and engagement through the tutor platform and marketing systems
  • Delivery and result analysis of ideas and new methods to increase tutor recruitment and engagement

About You:

Naturally, you’ll have a practical, hands-on and flexible approach, and you’ll be a great team player and happy to throw yourself into a fast-paced environment.

They’re also looking for you to be:

  • Data Driven - able to make analytical decisions based on numbers and improve KPIs
  • A proactive problem solver, equally effective solving strategic business demands as detailed operational implementation challenges
  • Good communicator and organizer – you’ll have to work across multiple brands 
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team, and to prioritise conflicting demands and meet tight deadlines
  • Not a clock-watcher – this isn’t a 9 to 5 job.

    The heart of the business rests with you! 
  • Insatiable hunger to learn – They’ll teach you everything you need to know – but they can’t teach attitude!  

The Skills & Experience you’ll Need: 

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a UK university
  • Complete proficiency in MS Excel (Formulas, Filters, Graphs, conditional formatting etc)
  • Working as a tutor is a distinct advantage
  • Experience writing articles and in content management

Job Summary:

  • Role Scope: Full time position with progression opportunity to Head of Operations
  • Pay: £20,000 - £24,000
  • Bonuses: Uncapped performance-linked bonus, team events, perks and fully paid holidays (Alps Ski Trip, Caribbean Cruise)
  • Location: Milton Keynes office; Three days in office, two days remote.

    (Due to COVID19, they are all currently working remotely).
