Senior Practitioner - Fostering Team

Birmingham Children's Trust is looking for a Senior Practitioner to join their Fostering team.

This is a Locum Social Work role.

The ideal Social Worker will be well versed in Foster work proceedings and familiar with a Fostering environment.

The key to success in this kind of role is to be able to work well with Foster Carers throughout their process of fostering a child.

Your responsibilities as a Fostering Senior Practitioner:

  • Be a part of supervisory meetings with either Team Managers or Senior Social Workers regularly to monitor progress and identify development needs

  • Be able to give advice and support to others in the team

  • Support foster carers through the process of fostering a child, providing out of hours support if necessary

  • Maintain contact with them as necessary

Requirements of you as a Fostering Senior Practitioner:

  • A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)

  • A valid Social Work England registration

  • Have competent knowledge and experience of Fostering work

Location: Lancaster

Pay rate: £32.43 per hour
