About the Role

The Manager Governance will take a leadership role in the organisation and is accountable for the delivery of a range of governance and administration services that facilitate achievement of strategic, corporate and business objectives across the following functional areas:

  • Corporate governance;

  • Civic governance including Mayor and Councillors support, Council business papers and policies;

  • Procurement and tendering;

  • Property management including leases, licensing, sales and acquisitions, and

  • Risk Management including OHS

Skills and Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and at least five years' experience in a similar role.

  • Experience at middle management level or higher in government, private or not for profit sector.

  • Demonstrable experience delivering exceptional customer service.

  • Experience in leading a small multi-disciplinary team.

  • Proven capacity to deliver innovative, coordinated, and sustainable Local Government management outcomes in areas of responsibility.
