Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN)

A Band 6 Community Mental Health Nurse (CPN) is required part time to join an Adult Mental Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) based in Ipswich, within the NHS.

Temporary pay rate: £24ph ltd

Hours and length of contract:
, Part Time: 3 days per week
, Between the hours of Monday - Friday 09:00-17:00
, Initial 3 month contract (likelihood of extension)

Daily Duties:
The service provides assessment and intervention for working age adults within the community working from an office base and clinic setting and you will be working within the Community Mental Health Team (CMHT).

You will be carry a small case load within the community of service users experiencing complex mental health needs such as:
, Non-psychotic disorders
, Severe depression
, Anxiety
, Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
, Eating disorders
, Psychotic disorders
, Schizophrenia
, Bipolar affective disorder
, Cognitive impairments
, Alzheimer's disease
, Dementia
, Learning disabilities

The role will be a mix of working from an office and working from home - though the latter will be limited.

You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate packages of care based upon individual service user needs and undertake and maintain service users' Self Directed Support assessments.

You will undertake depots, triaging work of new assessments and undertaking welfare calls to unallocated cases.

This includes undertaking face-to-face visits (subject to a risk assessment) and PPE kit will be provided.

You may also be required to support the duty rota.
