Support Worker - Supported Living Service

A unique opportunity is available working as a Support Worker in a Supported Living service with adults who have autism, challenging behaviours, learning disabilities and Downs Syndrome


You will be working in a Supported Living Service that provides support to the service users at all times, along with promoting independence and providing a person-centred approach.


For your hard work, you will have the opportunity to gain further qualifications including the Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, generous annual leave and progression opportunities!

Requirements of the Support Worker include:



  • Experience working with children or adults with challenging behaviours in a care setting

  • Commitment to work long days and weekends

  • UK Driving license

  • Good standard of written English for report writing

  • Strong communication skills and emotional resilience


Responsibilities of the Support Worker include:



  • Provide a person-centred approach at all times

  • Protect the service users at all times

  • Give guidance to the service users and promote independence

  • Take part in activities the service users enjoy e.g.

    football, swimming or long walks


Location: Thatcham


Salary: £9 - £9.50 per hour DOE


Role: Part-time (Permanent) 25/30 hour contracts avaliable
