Job Title - 2nd Line Support Engineer
Location - Birmingham, B16
Hours - Full-time, 35 hours per week
Salary - £29,000 per annum

The role

Or client are currently looking to recruit a full-time 2nd Line Support Engineer to join their IS department, based at their Head Office in Birmingham.


The role is full-time, 35 hours a week - 9am-5pm.


As an IS 2nd Line Support Engineer you will have a proven record of accomplishment at providing user assistance within a 1st or 2nd line support position.

You will also show a desire to develop skills and take on new challenges.

You will show a desire to move towards a system engineer role.
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate a good ability to work as a team and a desire and willingness to be involved in issues and work, outside of their normal working environment.

To be considered for this role you will need to have:

, A strong experience of providing user support in a number of these areas: Windows 10, Laptop hardware, Citrix Desktops, Cisco Telephony, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft OneDrive, Microsoft SharePoint, Anti-virus and web filtering.
, In addition, you will be expected to be involved in infrastructure projects.

Any experience of Micro soft Intune, Microsoft O365/Azure Infrastructure, Meraki, Wide area networks, SCCM, Powershell, Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy is desirable.


, It will be highly desirable for you to have experience, or good knowledge of: ITIL v3/v4, Project work, Infrastructure and Cyber security, Change Control.
