Support Worker

My client is seeking experienced Support Workers to care for individuals at their supported living in Newbury supporting adults with learning disabilities.

Shift patterns: 22.00-7.30 waking nights - Monday - Sunday

Requirements for you as the Support Worker:

  • Enhanced DBS

  • Experience working in a Supported Living Environment promoting independence

  • Experience supporting vulnerable adults with complex needs such as Dementia or Physical disabilities providing personal care

  • Encouraging and supportive attitude with a willingness to be part of a team and get stuck in with other tasks around the home

  • Considerate and flexible with working hours /days

  • Up-to-date mandatory training


Responsibilities for you as the Support worker:

  • Supporting service users with daily needs such as personal care

  • Working closely with service users, staff, families and other relevant professionals

  • Following service user care plans

  • Consistently promoting independence to service users
