Senior Practitioner - Emergency Duty Team

Swindon Borough Council are seeking a Locum Senior Practitioner to join their Emergency Duty Team.

Based in Swindon, the role is commutable from Bristol and Gloucestershire, and is offering a competitive pay rate of £38 per hour.

Your responsibilities as an EDT Senior Practitioner

  • As a Senior Practitioner, you will coordinate Mental Health Act assessments

  • Manage Safeguarding concerns and give advice to vulnerable people

  • Work out of hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays

  • Work within the Children Act 1989, the Mental Health Act 1983, and other relevant legislation

  • Respond to urgent situations that cannot wait until the next working day

Requirements of you as an EDT Senior Practitioner

  • Social Work Qualification with a minimum of 2 years' experience

  • Previous experience working in an Emergency Duty Team

  • Social Work England registration

  • Clear Enhanced DBS

Location: Swindon

Pay rate: £38.00 per hour
