£40,000 salary DOE


4% contribution pension, maxed out at 11%, 25+8 days holiday, sick pay.


Mon - Thurs: 8.30am ‐ 17.15pm
Friday: 8.30am ‐ 12:45pm (37.25 hours)



Our client is looking for an Electronics Design Engineer who will support the design, testing and implementation of controls and electrical components on their application systems.

Some of your key responsibilities will be:



  • Support Product Management and Marketing with developing SORs for standard product controls and electrical components.

  • Develop software for control systems and test equipment (PLC, soft PLC, embedded systems, PC based)

  • Support hardware development for industrial control systems and test equipment.

    (circuit and PCB design)



  • Manage initial cost estimates, procurement of prototypes, and alpha test programs in the lab.

    Assist with beta testing in the field at customer sites.

  • Support initial product start-up at the manufacturing facility.

    Participate in the initial product builds and, when required, evaluate new vendors and investigate start-up quality issues.


Experience Required:



  • Relevant Degree

  • 3+ years' experience of application or manufacturing Engineering

  • Experience with standards and tools for writing software (PLC, soft PLC, embedded systems, PC based.

  • Must have electro-mechanical aptitude (soldering/wiring) and lab instruments such as DMMs, oscilloscopes.
