Warehouse Engineering Manager

We're recruiting for a Specialist Process Warehouse Engineering Manager who will have the experience of lean methodology and implementation of automation into a large warehouse facility.

The black belt Engineering Manager CI Manager main aim will be to drive forward the site plan to have a lean efficient warehouse and logistics facility with a high emphasis on automation (much like an amazon style warehouse)

This is a senior Engineering Warehouse Manager role reporting to the Group Distribution & Manufacturing Manager in the UK but with a global remit, eventually replicating the UK site and processes into their other facilities globally.


The candidate will use proven analytical skills, and mist have a good understanding of 'Standard Value Minutes' / SMV ,change management skills, and communication tools to effectively improve warehouses that will yield the highest productivity and efficiency gains whilst improving customer service levels, all of this in conjunction with the key stakeholders.



This role will report into and work with the Group Distribution & Manufacturing Manager to identify and implement new systems and processes in all of the companies warehousing operations to ensure a consistent approach.



The role will also work closely with the Senior Warehouse Manager to support the overall development of our global warehousing operations supported by the senior on site teams.



The role will focus on continuous improvement, Analysing, planning, and improving are a key focus of this role, however work study analysis of all operational process will be the main focus area initially to look at where solid improvements can be achieved to assist in increased efficiency across all sites.

Using Standard Minute Values and measurements will be a central component of the position.



Work with the Group Distribution & Manufacturing Manager to identify, scope out and implement improvement initiatives within our global warehousing and logistics operations focussing on efficiency and process improvements
Formal training in work study is a prerequisite as is Operational Management experience and Leadership.


Review current S&OP's and ensure these are aligned to the processes and updated and revisited as required, and that staff understand the processes and monitor that these are being adhered to.


Complete work study analysis on key operational areas and work with the management team on improvement opportunities and drive these through in all of the operational sites within the business


Proven warehouse management and logistics experience in a fast paced B2B environment including an understanding of web based ordering systems and processes.


Experience with Standard Minute Values and measurements in either a distribution or manufacturing environment to identify improvement opportunities and efficiency gains is essential
