Assistant Technical Manager


As an Assistant Technical Manager within a Leading Food Manufacturing Business that can offer you a progression route to become a Technical Manager, you will be lucky enough to have plenty of challenges that will allow you to demonstrate your expertise of previous impacting cultural and business transformation allowing you to enhance and build upon your current skills.



The company itself a well know Food manufacturer with multiple sites are experiencing continued growth.

Because of this it is a naturally fast-paced environment so you will need to hit the ground running.



The company employ hundreds of people and are seeking an Assistant Technical Manager that has experience of working within a Chilled Food Manufacturing environment with a proven track record of developing and communicating a quality focused culture into an ever-growing business.



Roles and Responsibilities:



  • Whilst being the Assistant Technical Manager there are many opportunities where you will be able to cover for the Technical Manager which will allow you to gain more experience and responsibility within a Senior role.

  • As a part of your day to day role you will be involved in various types of audits such as BRC and Customer.

  • You will be an influential individual within the Technical Department, so mentoring, motivating and developing your team will be a key aspect of the role

  • Focussing on the day to day management of everything Safety, Quality and compliance related

  • Being an Assistant, you will be dealing with Customer Complaints on a regular basis and investigating what specific issues have been raised with the Manufacturing Process so they can be addressed.



To Be Successful



  • Must have been within a Junior or Assistant Technical Management capacity for a minimum of 3 years

  • Understanding HACCP and TACCP regulation within the Food Environment

  • Food Related or Science Degree

  • Proven experience of working with Major Retailers within a Chilled Environment - Essential

  • You must have worked within the Food Industry

  • Experience of managing change and teams within a business - essential

  • The job title which would be considered for this role would be a; Junior Technical Manager, Assistant Technical Manager, Deputy Technical Manager, Quality Manager, Quality Assurance Manager, Technical Officer and Assistant Technical Lead
