Warehouse Maintenance Engineer


Mploy are proud to be supporting one of our long-standing clients in the recruitment of a Warehouse Maintenance Engineer.

The purpose of this job role is to maintain operational capability of the automated warehouse systems and maintain high standards of health and safety throughout the warehouse.


Main Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Identify, report and repair mechanical and electrical faults on warehouse machinery including conveyor systems and storage lifts.

  • Ensure the relevant certificates/documentation is completed.

  • Ensure the security of the warehouse is always maintained.

  • Ensure all equipment is clean and well maintained.

  • Work to a daily pattern.

  • Understand and ensure the implementation of the Warehouse Health & Safety Policy and Emergency & Fire Procedures.

  • Report to the site Manager, any faulty machinery or potential hazard.

  • Promote a safe working practice in the warehouse.




Key Personal Requirements:



  • Flexible approach towards working routine.

  • NVQ level 2 or higher in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Minimum qualification City & Guilds Electrical.

  • Understanding of electrical systems and wiring diagrams.


  • Be prepared to be on call in cases of emergencies.


  • Team player with ability to work on own initiative.

  • Genuine interest in working with automated warehouse equipment and mechanically based engineering knowledge.

    Previous experience of working automated machinery.

  • Able to work at height or in confined spaces.




Hours: 6am-2:45pm (40 hour week)
Salary: £22,000 - £25,000 dependent on experience
Location: Yeovil
