Support Worker - Young Care Leavers

Experienced Support Worker required to support young care leavers in Reading aged 16-21 years old based in Reading.

Experience working with challenging behaviour, EBD, mental health in a semi-independent living service is essential.

Shifts: 8:00-15:00/15:00-22:00/22:00-23:00 + sleep-in

Responsibilities for you as the Support Worker:

  • Supporting children and young people with day to evening routines, activities, personal care/hygiene, increasing independence, supporting with meal prep, eating and drinking

  • Working closely with clients, staff, families, and other relevant professionals

  • Consistently promoting independence to young people

  • Light cleaning/laundry duties around the home where necessary

Requirements for you as the Support Worker:

  • Enhanced DBS Child & Adult on the update service

  • Experience working with children and young people

  • Encouraging and supportive attitude

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care desirable
