Support Worker - Day Staff

An experienced Day Staff Support Worker is required to support Young People of the ages 2yrs - 25yrs with physical disabilities, within a college based in Alton.

As the Support Worker you will be required to support in providing education, personal care, therapy, medical support, and independence training.


You will need to have experience working with young people with physical and learning difficulties, challenging behaviour, complex needs, personal care and encouraging independence.



Day Shift: 12:30pm - 22:00pm (Monday - Sunday)

Responsibilities for the Support worker:



  • Supporting young people with, personal hygiene, good behaviours, medical support, therapy

  • Working closely with young people, staff, families, and other relevant professionals

  • Following young people care plans

  • Consistently promoting independence to service users



Requirements for the Support Worker:



  • Enhanced DBS Child & Adult on the update service essential

  • Experience working in a college supporting physically disabled young people

  • Encouraging and supportive attitude

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care desirable



Location - Alton


Salary:


£9.00 + per hour + sleep in rate PAYE


£12.00 + per hour + sleep-in Rate Umbrella
