Compliance and Quality Manager - MDD & MDR

Compliance and Quality Manager - MDD & MDR - Bristol

Salary £30,000 to £40,000 Depending on experience.

Full Time - Permanent

MUST HAVE MDD and/or MDR EXPERIENCE

The Company

My client based in Bristol are looking for a Compliance and Quality Manager to join their team.

They are looking for a candidate who has that particular mindset and set of skills to master the complex area of compliance, someone who can take an in-depth understanding of regulations and translate this in a pragmatic fashion into everyday practical solutions and processes.

As a medical device distributor and manufacturer, candidate understanding and experience with the Medical Device Regulation is essential.

They require the candidate to be personable and be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively work with others.

The Role

The key areas that they see as coming under compliance are:

ISO9001:2015 - They have a solid system in place, so with this it is a case of monitoring and optimising QMS.

Medical Device Regulation - They have a mixture of imported and own manufactured products.

In this aspect there has been a mix of supplier liaison and management of their own products.

They have a handful of their own products and these are Class I, so this is not particularly heavy regulatory work.

Health and Safety - They have the basics in place but want to be more on top if this aspect.

GDPR - They have made a solid start on this but haven't fully completed exercise yet, so the role holder would be carrying on the project.

The Candidate

An ideal candidate would have experience in all of these areas; however, they would be happy with a candidate with experience in some and evidence of the ability to get up to speed in new areas.

They need someone who can work effectively in isolation, especially given the current situation.

As a healthcare company they have been protected to some degree from the economic impacts of COVID-19, so far they are proud to say that they have been able to keep all their staff on and on full pay.

They have enabled remote working and they have a comprehensive COVID-19 internal policy to keep all their staff as safe as possible.
