Polar Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist technology partner to Financial & Retail customers for a Software Manager to become the subject matter expert for new software within the business.

This is not a line management position, so would suit a candidate with strong IT and Software experience, who is looking for an opportunity to develop their career.


The Software Manager will be responsible for;

  • Managing the relationship with the software provider, including the contract, updates, enhancements, upgrade releases etc.

  • Undertaking monthly KPI and quarterly business reviews with the software provider to ensure services meet SLA requirements.

  • Manage key customer requests, upgrades, releases etc.

    as required by the business, customers and software provider.

  • Develop internal training material and train staff on the software.

  • Support the CEO on projects / tenders as required.

  • Provide internal IT user support - e.g.

    setting up laptops for new starters etc.

Skills & Experience

The Software Manager will have experience including;

  • Excellent IT skills, enjoys learning new bespoke software packages.

  • Previous experience in a similar role involving coordinating the relationship with a software provider, including new releases, performance reviews etc.

  • Project experience; managing upgrades, updates, customer requests, staff training etc.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Experience liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
