QC Analyst

As the QC Analyst you will be responsible for maintaining quality within a globally operating chemical manufacturing company.

This company is developing a range of market leading products to strengthen their current product offering, with this QC position being pivotal in their release to market.

The successful applicant will be working a 4 on 8 off shift, 2x12 hour days followed by 2x12 hour nights.


Responsibilities of the QC Analyst;



  • To accurately analyse, validate and record results for Medical propellants plant and packing operations samples.

  • To ensure production processes and final product quality is controlled within agreed specifications and procedures.

    This shall make up 60% of the day shift analyst time.

  • To review and validate the analysis of other QC Analysts in line with operating requirements.

    This shall make up 40% of the day shift analyst time.

  • Prioritise work supporting business production, sales and customer demands.

  • Provide sickness or planned cover for the shift team to ensure 24 hours continuous operations in the laboratory.

  • Carry out investigation into any abnormal results and report to the Medical QC Team Leader, production personnel, and/or the Quality Assurance Team Leader as appropriate.

  • Maintain the laboratory and analysis equipment in line with full requirements of Good laboratory and current Good Manufacturing Practices.

  • Ensure all sample, analysis and testing work is carried out in full compliance with written procedures, cGMP and SHE standards.


To be successful in this position as QC Analyst it would be preferable to have a background working within a quality control lab, ideally to GMP standards or similar.

Ideally candidates will have an educational background supporting any industry experience, for example HNC in a scientific discipline (Chemistry/Pharma/Biology etc.), anyone with a HND or Degree (BSc or MSc etc) will be considered.

Additionally this role will involve knowledge and use of between 10-15 analytical techniques.
