EJ558 – HGV Technician / Fitter
Location: Bodmin
Salary: £13 per hour + overtime
Overview:
The HGV Technician is responsible for the mechanical and electrical repair, preventative maintenance and modification of the Company fleet.
This is a permanent, full-time role:
40 hours per week Monday to Friday
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carry out preventative maintenance in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical defects on all vehicles and related ancillary equipment, replacing parts as and when necessary in line with Company and legislative requirements.
- Complete all relevant paperwork and documentation to the required standard.
- Ensure shift workload is completed to the required Company standard.
- Remain up to date with the latest vehicle technology and changes by attending Company training programmes.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Appropriate technical qualifications.
- MOT preparation
- Vehicle computer Diagnostics
- HGV licence preferable but not essential, fully funded training can be provided for the right candidate
- Excellent understanding of vehicle maintenance requirements and procedures.
- Experience as a mechanic in a commercial vehicle environment.
- Full UK Driving Licence
