6am-2pm/2pm-10pm (Rotating)

My Client who is a leading chemical manufacturer within their field is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join their team.

The preferred candidate will ideally come from a chemical or FMCG background and duties will include the following:

-          Managing a team of operatives to complete production plan from initial order through to final product

-          Ensuring staff numbers are consistent with the production plan

-          PPE management ensuring correct levels of PPE are available and use by staff.

-          Ensuring production area housekeeping

-          Ensuring all materials, components are in stock for when needed

-          Maintain good working relationship between all members of staff

-          Staff training -SOPs

-          Using SAP system for production

-          Managing staff holidays, cover and updating calendar.

-          Process improvement

The ideal Production Supervisor will have the following attributes:

-          Previous experience working as a Supervisor / Team Leader / Line Leader in a Production environment, ideally chemical of FMCG

-          Strong Man Management skills/experience

-          Experience of working within a Continuous Improvement Environment (knowledge of 5s, 5Whys, Kaizen would be advantageous)

-          Experience of working with an ERP system (SAP knowledge would be advantageous)

-          Good knowledge of H&S compliance

-          Ability to control and improve processes
