Senior FPGA Design Engineer

This award winning company are looking to recruit a Senior FPGA Design Engineer to work on a variety of state-of-the-art imaging related products.

The post involves a wide variety of FPGA design tasks supporting system design.

Awareness of the interaction with other design disciplines is expected (layout, EMC etc).

FPGA's/CPLD's skills and Verilog for FPGA design on the full range of families (Actel, Xilinx, Lattice, Altera).

Familiarity with other technologies is also of benefit, including: SoC, DSP and microprocessors, precision and video rate analogue design, optoelectronics and power supply design.

Projects normally involve contributions from mechanical, software and production engineers; therefore the candidate must be effective in a multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate should have at least 3 years of significant experience in FPGA design and be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of the principles involved.

Other important qualities include a good academic background and the ability and enthusiasm to find out about, and work in, new areas.

A demonstrable commitment to producing 'right first time' quality work is essential.
