Deputy Nurse Manager (RGN)

Rate: £19 per hour.

Day Shifts: 40 hours per week.

Shift Pattern: 12 hour shifts

The Deputy Manager will support the Home Manager in ensuring that residents nursing needs are met at all times with the highest standards and quality.

Providing a person-centred approach to independence, well-being and choice to all residents whilst having the ability to work well under pressure, problem solve and communicate effectively.

About The Home:

This unique building can be found in the Historic Cathedral city of Lincoln, providing personal care and nursing services for up to 47 people in total.

The care centre is close to a number of transport systems (linking us to locations across Lincolnshire), as well as local stores.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities for the Deputy Nurse Manager (RGN / RMN)

  • Assistance with daily management of the home.

  • Take responsibility for the running of the home in the absence of the registered manager.

  • Help the registered manager with the general management of the home working under their guidance and leadership.

  • Support the registered manager produce and maintain the systems and procedures for auditing and assuring quality of care provided by the home.

Skills and experience for the Deputy Nurse Manager (RGN):

  • Understand care planning processes and have experience of writing care plans.

  • Experience of working with residents with various health needs.

  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.

  • Ability to lead, coach and develop staff.

  • A proven ability to work as part of a team.

  • Self-motivated and flexible.

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

  • Ability to contribute to, monitor and implement changes that improvement service delivery and outcomes for residents.

To be considered for this role the Deputy Nurse Manager (RGN) must:

  • Be a Registered General Nurse (RGN)

  • Minimum of three years' post registration experience, ideally with a years' experience within a senior management role.

  • Have an active PIN

  • Have a clear DBS.
