Senior/Principal Scientist - Flow Cytometry
We are currently looking for a Senior/Principal Scientist - Flow Cytometry to join a leading Immunotherapy company based in outside of Glasgow, on the central belt, commutable from Edinburgh.
As the Senior/Principal Scientist - Flow Cytometry you will be responsible for developing and running Flow Cytometry assays for Biomarker identification from Translational and Clinical Samples.
This is a Lab-based position focused on Primary Cell Culture and development of Flow Cytometry assays where you will also lead the Biomarker strategy and liaise closely with Clinical teams and senior stakeholders.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Senior/Principal Scientist - Flow Cytometry will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1.
Leading the development and implementation of Flow Cytometry assays for the assessment of clinical samples with a focus on Biomarker Discovery.
2.
You will support Product development as well as Clinical Trail progression and will provide scientific direction and oversight as well as lead strategic development.
3.
You will line manage and supervise team members and support on project work.
You will be responsible for growing the team and sustaining a positive work environment.
4.
Providing scientific leadership in areas including target biology, disease and translational science in multiple cross-functional teams.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Senior/Principal Scientist - Flow Cytometry we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1.
Relevant PhD in subjects like Molecular Biology or Immunology where you gained extensive experience in Flow Cytometry, ideally with a focus on T-Cells.
2.
Proven industry experience in developing multicolour Flow Cytometry assays including Cell sorting.
Ideally you will have experience of developing Flow Cytometry assays where you have detected Biomarkers with samples at a low frequency.
3.
A working knowledge and practical experience with translational and clinical samples where you have an understanding of immuno-oncology and immune cells such as T-Cells.
