Workforce Information Manager
The Workforce Information Manager is a key role in the delivery of People & Organisational Development (P&OD) systems and workforce information services, as well as managing a high performing Workforce Information Team in the production of high quality regular and ad-hoc reports.
Key responsibilities:
Developing and providing complex and integrated workforce information reports incorporating both qualitative and quantitative analysis
Streamlining and maintaining reporting processes to avoid manual manipulation of data and move to greater automation
Maintaining and developing the Trust's Electronic Staff Record (ESR) and other P&OD systems
Designing, developing & implementing bespoke P&OD systems/processes, and extending some of the capabilities of in-house systems through the development of interfaces, data extracts, reporting and analysis
Supporting the Head of Workforce Information by providing data intelligence advice to inform workforce planning and supporting the development of workforce planning systems
Line managing the Workforce Information Team, representing the department at meetings and deputising for the Head of Workforce Information as and when required
Taking a leading role in ensuring the Trust has effective and robust establishment control processes in place and that we are reporting appropriately in this area, working closely with colleagues across the organisation as required
Leading specific workforce information projects as required
Person specification:
Educated to degree level or equivalent
In-depth knowledge of workforce systems and workforce information/planning procedures
CIPD
PRINCE II Project Management Qualification
Significant experience of workforce information analysis
Understanding of workforce development tools and techniques
Working knowledge and experience of ESR
Report writing using Oracle/SQL and ability to apply principles to other systems
Advanced knowledge of the capture and manipulation of data from computer sources
Practical experience at advanced level using and developing a range of databases and spreadsheets
Project management experience
Supervisory/management experience
Knowledge of NHS Information Systems
Knowledge of issues in NHS Acute Hospitals
Experience of working within a workforce information team
