Band 6 CAMHS Clinical Charge Nurse

Permanent Band 6 CAMHS Clinical Charge Mental Health Nurse, Camberwell.

Salary: £37,638 - £44,780 per annum.

Dependent on post qualification experience.

The Clinical Charge Nurse role is suitable for Registered Nurses who have successfully completed preceptorship and have registered as an approved NMC mentor.

As a Clinical Charge Nurse you will promote and develop clinical leadership and clinical practice and be a positive role model to junior members of the team through the practice of evidence based care.

You will be expected to support professional development through clinical appraisal and supervision and contribute to the ongoing educational programme for staff, fostering a positive learning environment.

Snowsfields Adolescent Unit (SAU) is a National & Specialist CAMHS Inpatient Unit admitting adolescents between the ages of 12 to 18 years old.

The unit is part of the South London Partnership, and is located at the Maudsley Hospital.

SAU is an 11-bedded mixed-sex unit for young people with an acute mental health illness who cannot be safely cared for at home or in a community setting.

the unit also caters for day patients.

We offer a broad range of treatments, including medication, cognitive behavioural therapy, group work, psycho educational family work, systemic family work and art psychotherapy.

Our multi-disciplinary team includes psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, teachers, occupational therapists, social workers and other therapists.
We maintain close links with the young person's referring team to ensure they experience a smooth transition back to the community.

The ward is part of the larger CAMHS inpatient care pathway across the South London Partnership, which includes crisis care, two further GAU's, CAMHS PICU and an Enhanced Treatment Service.

About the location:
Our Trust headquarters is located at Denmark Hill less than 5 minutes from the train station (zone 2).

Please also bear in mind our £250 referral fee bonus for any nurse you refer who we place in to work on a 3-month contract.

We also offer a £150 sign up bonus for any new nurses that register with our agency.

This will be paid in your first pay packet.
