Support Worker - Special Education

A Support Worker or LSA Opportunity is available working in a Day Centre.

You will be working with adults who have learning disabilities, autism and behaviours that challenge.

As the Support Worker or LSA, you will encouraging the residents to make their own choices, supporting them with light cleaning and cooking duties and taking part in a range of activities.


The role is offering 37.5 hours a week, is days only and is based at Cranleigh.

Requirements of the Learning Support Worker includes:



  • Experience working with children or adults with autism/learning disabilities and complex needs (desirable)

  • UK clean driving license ESSENTIAL

  • Emotional resilience and strong communication skills

  • Care certificate (desirable)


Responsibilities of the Support Worker include:



  • Provide a person-centred approach at all times

  • Protect the service users at all times

  • Give guidance to the service users and promote independence

  • Take part in activities the service users enjoy e.g.

    football, swimming or long walks


Location: Cranleigh


Salary: £17,000


Role: Full-time (Permanent), days only 37.5 hour contract


Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm
