Get Recruited are currently recruiting for a well known, highly regarded organisation who, due to growth, are seeking a Lead Avaya Engineer to join their team.

As the Lead Avaya Engineer, you will be responsible for all practical elements of the implementation of Avaya solutions from creation of detailed low level design documentation, translations of pre sales designs, creation of acceptance test plans and supporting remote and onsite implementation.

THE ROLE:

• As the Lead Avaya Engineer, you will be responsible for working with Avaya Project Managers in regards to the implementation planning and coordination


• Engage on major projects and large customer deployments as the technical delivery lead - often as head of a group of SME's


• Create low level designs for solutions


• Directing your team in regards to the implementation of Avaya Aura solutions for large and complex projects, including new systems or systems additions


• Create and execute customer agreed test plans in order to achieve customer acceptance


• Undertake audits of customer's network or existing telephony solutions


• Identify and isolate failures during integration between different manufacturers products, whilst liaising with 3rd party engineers


• Provide support and mentoring to peers and Avaya 3rd party and partners on troubleshooting and resolving issues


• Present technical issues to groups


• Complete other duties as required

THE PERSON:

• Experience of working as a Technical Development Lead / TDL


• Technical skills applicable to Avaya technologies (SM/SMGR, CM, Messaging, Equinox, Oceana, Breeze) with demonstrable knowledge of key issues facing implementation of these components


• Strong practical experience working within Ayava technology platforms


• Proven background in telecoms voice systems - VOIP, SIP, networking/TCP IP


• Knowledge of APDS Unified Communications / ACIS Avaya Aura Communication Manager and CM Messaging


• Previous experience of working within the telecommunications industry is highly desirable


• Flexible approach and self-directed
