Are you an experienced Warehouse and Logistic Manager looking for a new challenge?

This Warehouse and Logistics Managers role is with a company that boasts a successful 60 years history in manufacturing and supplying stored energy products for all different sectors across the UK and World.

At present they have 12 Warehouse distribution sites strategically located across the UK, but this Warehouse and Logistics Managers role is based at their Shrewsbury location.

Reporting to the Branch Manager you will be responsible for managing a team of Delivery Drivers and Warehouse Operatives ensuring the smooth, safe and efficient running of the Warehouse / Logistics and Distribution operation.

Ideally Located - Shrewsbury, Battlefield, Mount Pleasant, Minsterley, Condover, Moreton Corbett, Shawbury, Longdon - Upon - Tern, Wellington, Grafton, Broseley, Telford, Bridgnorth, Bicton, Shelton, Upton Magna, Ditherington, Uffington, Monkmoor)

Salary - Upto £35K DOE + Bonus + Pension + Benefits

The Candidate & Role Requirements

• Be an experienced Warehouse and Logistics Manager able to develop and implement business objectives, working productively with a wide range of people


• Ideally come from a Wholesale Distribution background


• Have strong leadership, motivation and managerial skills


• Have the ability to work effectively under pressure


• Ideally hold formal qualifications such as NEBOSH General Certificate or IOSH Managing Safely or NVQ Level 3 Management or equivalent


• Make sure all internal Computer systems are updated accurately and efficiently


• Manage all inventory ensuring maximum stock availability


• Adhere stringently to operational Health and Safety procedures


• Always strive to improve operational efficiency


• Undertake warehouse racking and housekeeping conducting thorough inspections providing monthly reports to the Compliance Department


• Be fully Computer Literate
