Employment Partner



We are looking for an Employment Partner (c8/9PQE+) to join this established niche commercial City practice to join a small but expanding team.


This FIRM is a niche employment and workplace law firm with an international client base.

The FIRM counts amongst its clients Blue Chip PLCs, asset managers, brokers and underwriters, hedge funds, banks, professional partnerships and LLPs, charities and individuals (particularly senior executives).

The FIRM is known for providing practical, commercially sound advice and for conducting its own advocacy through experienced practitioners.


The TEAM advises on a complete range of employment law and workplace issues (both contentious and non-contentious) with a particular focus on:

, team moves,
, restrictive covenants,
, bonus disputes,
, employment tribunal and High Court litigation,
, employment- related FCA and PRA regulatory proceedings,
, partnership and LLP matters,
, minority shareholder disputes,
, business reorganisations and TUPE,
, company secretarial services,
, employee remuneration and benefits,
, business immigration,
, health and safety and HR support.


To Be Successful You will:-

, Be at circa 9/10PQE and be a partner looking for a serious change and opportunity in your career;
, Be comfortable dealing with a substantial and complex caseload of contentious and non-contentious employment matters for employers and employees;
, Have experience of acting for senior executives, corporate leaders & key industry role holders;
, In particular, have experience of employment contracts, benefits, disputes and legislation.

, Have acted for all types of employers including those in the media, manufacturing and leisure industries as well as for high net worth individuals involved in employment / shareholder disputes.

, Have advised on major redundancy programmes and on complex TUPE issues and handled tribunal cases relating to jurisdiction, sexual orientation and health and safety
, Be able to manage a team efficiently and effectively;
, Have experience of developing and sharing knowledge and know-how;
, Be able to work with the senior management team & team in general and be looking to contribute at the strategic level;

You will have a positive and charismatic character with the ability to hit the ground running bringing significant added value to the role.

You will also have an existing client-base and range of potential to exploit and bring safely into the firm showing ability past and current to work the market, promote self and firm as well as developing your own practice.
