Reserach Scientist - Tumour Immunology

We are currently looking for a Research Scientist - Tumour Immunology to join a leading Cell Therapy Biotechnology company based in the London area.

As the Research Scientist - Tumour Immunology you will be responsible for researching the functional activity of engineered and non-engineered T Cells in the Tumour Microenvironmnet.

You will support the development and optimisation of protocols for Primary Tumour Cell isolation and growth to support the research and development of novel T Cell Therapeutics.


Your duties as the Research Scientist - Tumour Immunology will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:


Work collaboratively with Research teams to support tumour immunology research and development activities.


Isolated primary tumour cells from patient samples and develop robust platforms and methods for assessing the Tumour Microenvironment.


Perform Characterisation assays on T Cells and Primary Tumour Cells including cell based assays and Immunoassays.


Work on cutting edge research with the opportunity to contribute to novel IP.

You will work in a collaborative business developing life changing therapeutics and Cancer Therapies.


To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Research Scientist - Tumour Immunology we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:


Relevant degree in an Life Sciences discipline with an in-depth understanding of Immunology and Cell Biology or Cancer Biology.

PhD is preferred or MSc plus relevant industry experience.


Proven industry / Academic experience handling Primary Tissue for Primary Tumour Cell isolation and cell culture maintenance.

Expereince with Cell characterisation assays is desirable


A working knowledge and practical experience with Immunology assays including Flow Cytometry where you have developed multicolour panels.

Experience with T Cells is desirable but Immune cells and immunology essential.
