Qualified Visual Impairment Officer, Kensington

We are currently recruiting for a Visual Impairment Officer in Kensington, West London.



This is a 3-month Contract with view to extend.

You will be working Full time hours (36 hours a week).

To apply for this role you:
Must have a qualification in VI Rehabilitation Studies or equivalent

Skills/Experience needed:
 Experience of working with visually impaired people.

If newly-qualified, you must have undertaken a relevant placement
 Ability to communicate both orally and in writing with service users, carers and other professionals
 Good IT skills
 Ability to work under pressure and manage stress
 Ability to organise and prioritise own workload
 Ability to provide a service which is culturally sensitive and empowering for all service users
 Ability to work as part of a team
 Understanding of discrimination and prejudice in particular for people with disabilities and minority ethnic communities.
