Ultimate role for a Lead Network Engineer with a brand new, innovative and exciting Network Solution Provider in Reading; network aggregation and provision of some of the highest quality, full-fibre connectivity services in the UK.

Within this role, you'll take responsibility for the provision of technical support in relation to complex support tickets, acting as the most senior technical resource within the networking team in maintaining the businesses core network.

The role will also involve implementation and tech project management of solutions, advanced config of routers and switches, running service simulations, the provisioning of new services onto the core network, deploying and maintaining monitoring platforms and, of course, documentation of solutions!

Experience Required:

• Strong understanding of MPLS networks and routing protocols, including BGP, OSPF, L3VPN, L2VPN or VPLS.


• Cisco qualifications (or equivalent experience).
  
  Ideally your knowledge will be equivalent to CCNP level.


• Experience of working within a Multi-Vendor Network environment and have experience with Juniper and Huawei products.


• Ideally experience with CWDM / DWDM technologies.


• Experience in providing technical documentation (HLD & LLD)


• Deployment and management of network monitoring systems


• Ideally you will also have experience working on a Service Provider core network.


• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), a must.
