Business Consultant

Business Consultant - Bracknell

This is a rare opportunity to join a different breed of software vendor as a Business Consultant.

As a senior member of the business, you will be responsible for implementing business process and looking at the best use for the client's products (CPQ products, Configure, Price, Quote).

The role is very post sales focussed; you will have the opportunity to be involved in some pre-sales however the primary focussed will be solutioning and implementing with their clients to ensure that their clients are getting the very best out of their products.

Although this is primarily a functional role, you will still need to possess an understanding of the underpinning technology.

Responsibilities include:

-Provide a vision of the overall solution for the customer, you will provide training and guidance to their customers to transform their overall operations

-Gather and review document requirements for product enhancements or extensions that come from the solution design so that a solution can be built

-Consult on the design of the application integration and assist with any customer data mapping requirements

-Lead sessions on narrative flow to produce story boards incorporating the client's products to enable identification of gaps in functionality that need to be filled by enhancements or manual process

-Lead in the definition and specification of a manageable scope of work, creating a delivery roadmap and a sustainable delivery model, integration and migration

-Use Business Process Mapping techniques and tools to provide input and guidance to their customers

-Capture business, product and pricing knowledge into rules within a model to drive the selling process

-Have input in building proposals, SOW and service estimates

-Possess awareness of the wider impact of the decisions of a customer

-Stay up to date with tools, trends and techniques and relevant industry standards


-Previous experience working in a consulting, solutioning or architectural role

-Previous experience with CPQ products

-Experience with data modelling

-Ideally degree level education or equivalent industry experience

-A strong understanding of the functional structure of businesses (their objectives, strategies and success factors)

-Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal and at stakeholder level

-An understanding of streamlining business processes which have been modelled and understood

-Knowledge of techniques and tools used for estimating projects and full lifecycle software development

-Posses excellent technical problem solving skills

-Be naturally commercially aware; understanding changes and impact on businesses

-An understanding of software testing

In return, they are offering an exceptionally competitive salary up to £85,000 (plus bonus, car allowance and great company benefits).

They are a mature and flexible working culture with the opportunity to work from home 2 - 3 days per week.
