Data Manager required for a leading manufacturing company based in Tamworth to be responsible for managing the enterprise-wide data and information requirements and technology platform to support the company's needs.

This role offers flexible working.

Key responsibilities

• Support and influence strategy formulation for digital by making recommendations to maximize the value of information assets via their creation, access and use.


• Consult and educate stakeholders on methods for streamlining and standardizing data recording to ensure quality and accuracy.


• Maximize value derived from data and analytics by establishing a data centre of excellence that drives value creation using the organisation's data assets.


• Keep track of risk parameters, identifying any more deviations and reporting them to more senior colleagues.
  
  Involves working within established risk management systems.


• Design and select storage, data centre, network, and client/server environments to design solutions in line with industry best practice and provide a third-line point of escalation for appropriate global infrastructure solutions.

Key Skills

• Comprehensive knowledge and skills to work independently while providing guidance and training to others on planning, organizing, prioritizing and overseeing activities to efficiently meet business objectives.


• Experience within an information system design role


• Understanding of major cloud provider data management technologies (e.g.AWS, Azure)


• Experience of data virtualisation and visualisation tools (e.g.
  
  Tabalau, Qlick, Donodo)


• Data Modelling and information classification expertise at the enterprise level


• Understanding of metamodels, taxonomies and ontologies


• Familiarity with data science concepts, as well as MDM, business intelligence and data warehouse design and implementation techniques


• Experience with distributed management and analytics in cloud and hybrid environments

The salary my client is offering is between £60,000 and £65,000 depending on experience.
