Youth Support Worker - 16+

Experienced Support Worker needed to support Young Care Leavers 16+ on part-time 21 hours per week basis in Reading, Berkshire.


The appointed Support Worker will be required to support across two semi-independent services, supporting young care leavers aged 16+ with complex and challenging behaviours.


You must be able to work the following shifts:


8:00-15:00


15:00-22:00


22:00-23:00 + sleep-in

Responsibilities for you as the Support Worker:



  • Supporting with budgeting, shopping, healthy choices and general healthy living

  • Assisting the young people with activities out in the community

  • Supporting with CV's , Job Applications, College Applications

  • Promoting positive behaviours

  • Working closely with clients, staff, families, and other relevant professionals

  • Consistently promoting independence to young people

  • Light cleaning/laundry duties around the home where necessary


Requirements for you as the Support Worker:



  • Enhanced DBS Child & Adult on the update service

  • Experience working with children and young people

  • Encouraging and supportive attitude

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care desirable


Location - Reading


Pay: £9:00-£10.50 per hour
