Money Support Advisor

In the Money Support Advisor job, you will be:


  • Providing specialist welfare rights and benefits advice to customers to ensure that those using the service have the opportunity of having their income fully maximised
  • Ensuring customers are claiming their full entitlement of all available benefits and offering basic money management advice
  • Supporting the organisations Financial Inclusion agenda, creating partnership opportunities where possible to give customers access to wider external financial inclusion services
  • Liaising closely with colleagues to provide advice and support and to develop their understanding and knowledge of Welfare Benefits, including Universal Credits

To be considered for the Money Support Advisor job you must have:


  • Demonstrable experience providing professional Welfare Benefits advice and guidance 
  • Strong knowledge of the range of welfare benefits available and the qualification criteria and knowledge of legal processes associated with Social Landlord and Tenant relationship
  • Proven track record of maximising income by successfully claiming all eligible benefits for clients
  • Experience of writing appeal submissions and presenting cases at Tribunal
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office packages (Work, Excel and Outlook)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, to deal sensitively and professionally with tenants experiencing difficulties
  • Full UK Driving Licence with the use of a vehicle for business purposes

This is a full time, fixed term contract up until February 2022 and the working hours are 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

This role is on an annual salary of up to £27,285 plus company benefits.  The role will be based at their offices however due to current circumstances; this role enables remote working however the ability to travel to their offices as and when, will be required.
