Experienced Autism Support Worker

Support Workers urgently required for a young adult's transitional service.

You will be supporting their journey from a residential setting into a supported living environment, providing them with 24/7 support.


You will need to have experience supporting vulnerable adults with autism, learning disabilities, complex needs, challenging behaviour, personal care and encouraging independence.



Shift Available: Days, Waking Nights, Sleep-ins

Responsibilities for the Support Worker:



  • Supporting vulnerable adults with autism, learning disabilities, complex needs, challenging behaviour, personal care and encouraging independence.

  • Working closely with vulnerable adults, staff, families, and other relevant professionals

  • Following service users care plans closely

  • Consistently promoting independence to service users



Requirements for the Support Worker:



  • Enhanced Adult DBS on the Update Service is Essential

  • Experience working with vulnerable adults with autism, learning disabilities, complex needs, challenging behaviour, personal care and encouraging independence.

  • Encouraging and supportive attitude



Location - Reading (and surrounding areas)


Salary:


£9.50 - £11.50
